| It was a cloudy, and increasingly rainy and windy day |

| along this slice of Northern California today, |
 |
| yet the colors were vivid and startling. |
 |
| I made a lot of stops along Route 1; |
 |
| it took almost the whole day. |
 |
| The day got foggier and more blustery! |
 |
| But still, the colors. |
 |
| Tomorrow I continue north. Stay tuned. |
